Service and Offerings
Charles Josef offers:
- Custom Designed Clothing: a one of a kind garment that is completely designed and constructed in house to achieve your perfect aesthetic
- Made to order Clothing: a garment that has been chosen from one of our many samples and is made in a standard size that is chosen based on your measurements. Made to order garments do not include alterations
- Expert Alterations: on Special Occasion Attire: whether you have purchased a garment from us or brought in one that you have purchased at a Bridal retailer, we will use our 25 year experience to alter your garment to fit and feel great on your wedding day.
- Custom Designed Veils and Accessories: belts, veils, ring bearer pillows, grooms vests or any item that may need a custom touch for your wedding can be commissioned in our studio.
Alterations
Alterations vary by garment and are scheduled by appointment. Some basic alteration services are listed below.
Bridal attire and special occasion clothing fittings are by appointment.
There is a charge for all appointments at the atelier, the appointment fee is $35 and is deducted from the cost of your alterations or services if you choose to have them done by us.
The Custom Design Consultation Fee is $50 and is deducted from your garment.

Bustling Starts at $10 per bustle
Bridal Gown hems average at $150
Men’s pant hem Start at $20
Men’s jacket taken in Start at $60
Men’s sleeves shortened Start at $50

For the groom utilizing an online suit service, we will gladly do a fitting for you by appointment $35
Ready to Wear, Made to Order and Custom Designed
Charles Josef offers select ready to wear items in his atelier for men, women and children including “Grab and Go” bridal and mother’s styles. Available by appointment with weekend and evening hours available.
If a size is not available Made to order dresses are available with lead times being 9 weeks on average. Rush orders are also available on most items. Our garments are designed and made in our atelier, therefore, we have more freedom than retailers who sell manufactured goods.
All made to order dresses are constructed in standard sizes and alterations on the finished garment are additional.
Custom designed garments that are made to measure have most alterations included and come with 2 fittings included.
